They're not all the same thing, some are drop-off, some are stay-and-play, and they suit very different ages, so it's worth picking based on your child rather than what's closest. Most sit along the north and east coasts.

Where's a kids' club for creative and role play in Koh Samui?

Kidomo, with sites in Chaweng and Lamai, is Montessori-influenced, smaller and more considered than soft play, with different stations for creative and role play, think a pretend kitchen or shop. The Lamai site is attached to Le Saline, the family Italian restaurant, though entry to Kidomo is paid separately.

Where's a calm, Montessori-style kids' club in Koh Samui?

Clever Kids in Maenam is an indoor play and learning space for ages 6 months to 5 years, built around Montessori-style play and wooden toys for parents and kids to discover together. It's not a crash-around soft play. Expect a mix of free play and more structured, educational activities, in a much calmer environment than the larger play centres. Good for toddlers and preschoolers who enjoy learning-based play, less so if you're looking for big physical play areas.

Where can kids burn off energy on soft play in Koh Samui?

If your kids need to run around and burn energy, Fun House in Bo Phut is your best bet, a proper soft play space built for climbing and sliding rather than a calmer, structured visit.

Where's a structured indoor kids' gym in Koh Samui?

NinjaGym, run by Rick Tew's and based at Big C in Bo Phut, is great for letting off energy indoors, but it's not a free-for-all. It's a structured, gymnastics-style kids' gym where sessions are guided and focused rather than free play, and parents aren't allowed on the mats. Good for confident kids aged 3 and up who enjoy structure, not ideal if your child needs a parent close by.

Where can you drop kids off for a creative session in Koh Samui?

Art in Paradise in Bo Phut is a genuine creative learning space for kids, not a walk-through attraction, with drop-in hours, an after-school art club, and rotating themed workshops. Best suited to ages 3 and up, you can drop off or stay, and booking ahead is recommended rather than relying on a walk-in slot.

Where can Lego-loving kids play in Koh Samui?

Le Blocks in Bo Phut is a Lego-based play space, kids pick a set and build it, and bigger or trickier builds can be saved for up to a week. Children can take part from 3.5, and need to be 4 before you can leave them without a parent.

What else is there for kids indoors?

If you're already out shopping, both Big C and Lotus in Bo Phut have smaller play areas built in, a useful bonus rather than a destination in its own right.
