Bang Por (also written Bang Po or Bangpo) is a wide, long and quiet beach on the north coast, in Maenam. It is very laid back, with a good choice of places to eat and drink, and it is an escape from the busier northern beaches without being far from them. Even if you stay elsewhere, it is worth a visit while you are in Koh Samui. Allow about 35 minutes from the airport.

If Bang Por isn't quite right:
- Want more choice in the evenings? Try Fisherman's Village / Bo Phut, for couples or families.
